All this straight away makes Tomb Raider very unique as there are very few games out there where you can connect so well with the lead character. At one point she gets badly hurt and until healed she can’t jump or climb, making it even more realistic. Lara has now changed in so many ways and this is a truly brilliant thing (you can read all about Lara’s rebirth in my opinion article,) every step of the way you connect with her and feel her pain when she gets injured and through the game you see her really become stronger with every feat she accomplishes.

Gameplay: While playing through this game I had a lot of fun and got completely immersed within its story and characters. She soon finds out about a bizarre cult living on the eerie island who really aren’t friendly to intruders and its then down to Lara to save her friends and get back to civilisation. Story: The story is set when Lara is in her early twenties and on one of her first expeditions with a crew of friends and mentors to a mysterious island in search of evidence of the Asian Sun Queen Yamatai who was said to posses magical prowess, things quickly go wrong when the ship crashes and leaves everyone shipwrecked thus making Lara feel a bit shitty as the trip was her idea. The Tomb Raider franchise has had its ups and downs over the years and to be honest I think quite a lot of gamers had started giving up on the it, but now it seems that the minds at Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics have finally saved the game and its famous heroine Lara Croft with this complete revamp.
